OUR CHURCH

We are a church who loves people wherever they happen to be on the journey of life. Our desire is to help each individual become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. We believe God’s Word has the answers to life. It is our manual for living. Our preaching is Christ-centered and Scripture is taught in a way that everyone can understand with practical application.

We are a church not bound by tradition. We are bound by Scripture. God has clearly laid out His plan for the church in His Word and that will be or sole guide and authority. Every aspect of Journey Church will be determined by Scripture. God has clearly given us a pattern in the New Testament for church from its doctrine, its government and most importantly its purpose.

OUR PASTOR

Johnny McDonald and his wife Linda are not new to ministry nor to church planting. They have enjoyed a successful ministry for a number of years. Johnny believes in a very practical approach to ministry and to preaching. He says, "If the message can't be clearly understood and applied then it is no more than religious oratory".

Johnny was born in Brownwood, TX and Linda was born in Gatesville, TX. They met and were married in Corpus Christi, TX. After their first child was born, Johnny surrendered to God's call and they moved to Missouri to attend seminary. They have four children, two boys and two girls, three of which reside in the Houston area and another lives in the Dallas area. If you spend time with Johnny and Linda you are sure to hear about their grandchildren which bring a lot of joy into their lives.
